Sometimes I feel like that too, I don’t know much about helping sorry…but I also saw the Poltergeist: The Other Side movie when I was younger and the part with the mirror was it. I never watched that movie again, yet that seen haunts me still to today. Maybe I should watch it again to overcome the fear…

A thought would be God, maybe it’s just the feeling of God or an angel watching over you but are you into that stuff?? And before you walk into a room, be aware of your surroundings. KNOW that there is a mirror in the area you’re walking into so when you see movement, you’ll know for sure it’s just you. I’m not sure of how to overcome this and actually do it but, just a thought…

Is this a recent feeling for you? Has anything recently happened that would precipitate uncharacteristic feelings and or behaviour?

I used to do the same thing
Its not unusual for ppl to do that its just their mind wondering
Just try your best to tell yourself that its just your mind and that its just nothing and see if that helps?

I believe that God is always watching over you and that if you feel afraid just ask Him to protect you and He will because He loves you so much. I will pray that He helps you feel calm, safe, and sure of who is around you.

Strong feelings someone is watching you and reacting to movement you see out of the corner of your eye may be from several causes, some medical (partial seizures, alcohol or substance use or withdrawal, sleep deprivation) some mental health i.e. anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, paranoia, etc.

What soothes you? Perhaps focusing on these things helps to ease your discomfort. If this becomes such a problem for you that it interferes with your ability to function, to go to work or school, to get enough sleep, etc. you might want to consider bringing it up to your physician or to a mental health provider. Best of luck to you.

Maybe horror movies is the thing. I love horror movies as well and can’t get enough. I watched so many nothing scares me anymore, so I have to hope and rely on nightmares to get a scare every now and then (scare turns into fun, like on a roller coaster or horror movie e.g.). No one else is in the house but you and your family, you just have to realize that fact. Look outside, is anyone there? Is someone watching you? No, I guess not, unless they’re invisible, and unless they’re an angel watching over you. I’d think of it as a good thing in a good way.

i do love horror movies, but the thing is i get so paranoid after watching them! lol
so if you don’t want to get thesame feeling, then lessen your horror film viewing. it would help.

I feel the same way. I just moved into a new house, and I can barly stand to be alone, I get freaked out. But the thing is to try and keep your mind busy on other things, like doing a craft (cross stich, knit ect) while your watching TV or you just board. Just relax, and you’ll be fine

Try blind-folding yourself and wlaking around the house. You’ll become more aware of where your mirrors and such is. Feel around and go to your mirrors, and if you take off the blind-fold, then you’ll know no one is there.

How long has this been happening? ‘Cause maybe you just have to grow out of it then…you’re in a tough place I’d say. MEMORIZE WHERE YOUR MIRRORS ARE! Look out the windows as OFTEN as you can, take a glimpse everytime you pass one. Keep this up and eventually you should give up and tell yourself “Aww there’s no point in doing this anymore, I’ve been doing this for so long and I saw nothing…”.

Keep as many lights on, hang out with more people, and BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS! By keeping the lights on, you’ll see the house and eventualget tired of turning the lights on/off and say to yourself “Aw screw it what’s the point of turning on the light, nothing’ll be here…”. By being with more people, you’ll realize at least one of those people in the group is watching you, and soon you’ll get used to the feeling of others watching you unexpectedly.

And if you don’t want your mom seeing you with a blind-fold, do it when she’s not home or maybe not at all then. Why do you think this happened to you? What happened in the past month? And of course you’ll feel that in darkness, it’s the time when you can’t see farther than light and someone MIGHT be watching, but they aren’t, it’s no fact. Get used to darkness, hence the blind-fold idea. Keep the lgiht on like I said above though, because all the blind-fold will do is alter the way you act when your vision is blocked. When you look out into the darkness, you can’t see much, so someone might be watching you and you can’t see them. But with the blind-fold, you can’t see anything! SO if you get used to it and take it off, it’ll be a relief to look outside into the darkness.

This might sound wierd, but I just found out that online games help a lot. I guess it’s because it brings to another world, and if you play it very often, you start to be less aware of real life surroundings, therefore becoming with less of a chance to jump. If you find no online games that interest you etc, try any other fun and possibly addictive console games out there and try to ‘pull’ yourself into the game. I still recommend the online games though.

Note: I am not saying this because I want you to become a gamer or whatever, I’m saying this because it might help. by playing the game and becoming addicted to it, you’ll not want to waste time looking around and worrying about whether or not something is there, or let alone you won’t ask yourself “Am I scared”.
