It always depends on age and the child’s intrerest, abilities and personality. Set goals for the children, are you wanting this to be for fun or for learning?

Here are some for example: (Toddler)

>sing them a song;
>take a walk outdooors, talking anout things you see and hear;
>read a story;
>tape some shelf paper to the table and offer crayons for >scribbling;
>do fingerplays together;
>make a snake together;
>make play dough;
>make a set of blocks from empty milk cartons and then build >something together.

Preschooler, you might plan to
>play a matching game;
>make applesauce;
>do a puzzle.
> Rice bowl-(big bowl filled with rice,beans,cups,spoons)

At the end of each day ask yoursef:
What went well today?
What didn’t work well?
What can we do differently next time?

Talk with the children and ask them what they enjoyed the most.
I hope that helped some, if you have any other problems let me know.

Elizabeth:)
