I broke into my Dell computer at work to fix stuff.

It keeps popping up with some kind of intrusion alert, anyone know how to reset it ? Fix one thing only to break another :\

Nah its the intrusion alarm for the case, so the dell tech reps know when you have been performing your own in house maintenance.

You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

It’s not a virus or a spyware, It’s the case intrusion detection setting, I need to flag it back to OFF. I broke into the computer to fix the sound card, we are not allowed to do our own maintenance as per the service contract, I need to set the intrusion detector back, if not I will just tell the technician it started appearing after I moved the PC. It’s not really a big deal. But thank you for the advice non the less.

Open the case and reset the bios then replace the cover and go into the bios and turn on the case intrusion setting and everything shoud be back to normal. Hope this helps :-)
