well, not REALLY… i have this awful ear infection, and i feel all sick and tired an so on and so forth.

oh yeah, he stuck a vacuum in my ear and made it hurt really badly, thanks a lot
i think i’ll just be confined to bed for a few days, feeling sick

it’s just desperately painful, hence the post :\

you know what works…roll up a thick piece of paper into a funnel and stick the tip in your ear then light the end of it on fire… it sounds wierd but it works my fiance had an ear infection and that cleared it up

yeah i do have a laptop, and thank God for that :D but bedrest does deserve a “blech”

and you know what, munkee, i used up the last of my flaming paper cones last week! and now i’m too sick to get to the circus to borrow some more… aargh

:P actually, a friend of mine says that’s great too, but unfortunately it only works for sinus pressure, and does nothing to kill bacteria :(

It was a folk remedy. They believed that the heat form the smoke relieved pressure and the nicotine provided pain relief (I think).

The practice is now discouraged.

We use polysporin drops - Antibacterial liquid drops, but over the counter medicine. 3 drops in each ear twice per day.

Watch the eyes too, you can get pink-eye if the infection decides to move - same remedy, just in the eyes.
