Find help: I opened up my computer’s case so I could cool it down with a fan and now my cd drive doesn’t work. - Help.com

I opened up my computer’s case so I could cool it down with a fan and now my cd drive doesn’t work.

Could some wires be loose? I don’t think it is the drivers, I did a system restore and the problem persisted. It is not an immediate problem but I would like to get it fixed before a certain game comes out… I have tried everything I could find on message boards and I searched for days should I just wimp out and buy an external one?

Is the case still open?
Does the eject button work?

The only thing connected to cd drive (AFAIK) are the power lead, and the bus lead, make sure both are plugged in the back of the CD drive. And make sure the other end of those leads are also ok.
