I get disconnected from the internet and it happens every time I am on line.

I understand when maybe I am not using the internet, but I do go back to it to check or what makes me upset is I am down loading and may internet is shut off. I paid good money for this connection and I expect to use it.
As I type this message my internet has been shut done.
I also have problems getting on Yahoo messenger as the internet is not connected to my computer.
When is this going to be corrected?

You are asking us? Who do you think we are, your ISP? I would suggest that you get hold of your ISP and ask them what the problem is. This is “help.com” site to help people that ask questions of the personal nature, technical nature or just a simple question. WE ARE NOT YOUR ISP OR ANYONES PARTICULAR ISP, LEAST OF ALL AOL’S ISP! So if you are having a problem staying on, then ask your ISP.

Hey! Chill out man. I’ll try to give you some advice… If you are on high speed DSL, Cable etc you need to call your technical support group. If you’re on a dial-up modem this can be a very perplexing problem… Your problems could be caused any where from your home to your ISP. Your ISP (Internet Service Supplier) is the company that you pay your fee to. The phone wiring in your home can affect your stability to maintain a connection. Make sure that connections are not corroded and connections are covered and are not exposed underground. The phone company can check for excessive noise or grounding on your line but you must request it from them. Your ISP has a site somewhere in your area with a set of modems similar to the one that you use to dial out. Some of there equipment may be defective or having problems. You must contact them and complain about their service. To get action demand some kind of rebate or discount for your troubles. Be sure to document each time you go down keep a log of the times. Your ISP has a log of your connections and should be able to determine which modem might be failing. They may also be able to give you alternate numbers to try.
