i am doing an assignment for school and i need to link pages together through macromedia flash.

I have to make a whole website through flash and the pages dont link. If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

Yikes. I should know this… I work on it nearly every day. The commands for this would be within the actions panel in Flash. The commands you place on your buttons or links should enable you to move from page to page within your Flash document. If you are trying to link to an external page there is also a command you can place on a button from the list in your actionscript panel. To give you a better idea on how to use the action script commands check out these sites…
