great name though. silksworth reminds me of lavender and galaxy bars for some reason. I’ve always wanted to live in winterbourne because it reminds me of snow berries and robins

Killer tsunamis. Devastating floods. Treacherous earthquakes. It’s getting so there’s no where safe to live anymore. Fear not. MSNBC and Forbes list the 10 safest places in the United States. And you’ll be surprised at what comes in at #1–Honolulu. Yeah, it has an active volcano, but it poses no short-term threat. As for Tsunamis? The last death from a giant wave happened over thirty years ago. Forbe’s Safest Places:

1. Honolulu, Hawaii
2. Boise City, Idaho
3. Santa Fe, N.M.
4. Yakima, Wash.
5. Spokane, Wash.
6. Richland-Kennewick-Pasco, Wash.
7. Medford-Ashland, Ore.
8. Corvallis, Ore.
9. Salem, Ore.
10. Las Cruces, N.M.

switzeland is pretty safe i guess, eternally neutral, no major natural disasters, protected by its wealth. On the other hand theres other places that just plain wont be bothered by the world, like mongolia, nothing much happens there. Or go hide in a remote place in russia.

Norway

Pro’s:

-located on a giant rock (the oldest one in the world) real steady like, no vulcano’s, Tsunami’s… HA!

-no wars (the last one cured us.. it’s not what the adverts say.. it’s dangerous!)

-really friendly people (well.. the friendly ones are…)

-no uneployment to speak of (you can choose this line of work as well, we have a good benifit plan for you)

-everybody gets healthcare, the goverment (we) pays for it. health-insurant? what’s that? oohh it’s that thing we need when we go abroad.

-School is free

-everybody (and I meen everybody) speaks english

-no illiterachy….il-litteracy…illittereasy…eehh almost none of that stuff going on.

-we are rich… filthy rich… I meen we’re talking saudi-Arabia rich, oil? we pump that *schitt* out of the ocean, need any? we got it. (hence free healthcare and so on)

-democracy….gotta love it. we even got a pet King (for the tourists) just like Disneyworld!

-No Bush (the man, silly!)

—-and so on—-

cons:

-inflated ego’s…. *bighead says* -what us?

-for a newbie, the climate might be an entertaining adventure…

-boring? we cure that with trips abroad, yea… and beer… we have good beer..

-taxes -you thought you americans pay taxes? try an average 35%.. but mostly people pay it with a smile, cause we know where it goes.

-I’m sure there are other things, but my huge inflated head just can’t come up with them at the moment… :)

Spokane Washington…that’s why I live here. We are safe from military attack, nuclear threat and the vast majority of natural disasters. The wilderness is 10 minutes away in any direction.

My home country, the Faroe Islands. Our capital “Tórshavn” was elected most boring capital in Europe, so you know it’s got to be safe… lol

My version is a bit different. All the real Vikings moved to the Faroe Islands, because beer was too expensive in Norway (still is).

There is no place safe in Europe ~smiles~. You will be the first to go, especially if the nukes start flying, if the actual nukes don’t kill you, then the radiation poisoning and nuclear winter will, as it probably will with all of us eventually!

I live in Tasmania, Australia, and I would not bring my kids up anywhere else under any circumstances. It’s just plain small and beautiful. A few bogans but you get that on the big jobs

I would definately say New Zealand, its so beautiful, and also, there are remote villages and towns that no one would even know existed bar the people who live there! and if not to live there then it is definitly worth a holiday there!
