Just gives you more reason to enjoy life because you dont know how long you have. It is scary, I understand your fear, but instead of letting your fear get you down enjoy life to its fullest.

Death is a given; everyone dies. So rather than focusing on it, you accept that it will happen and start focusing on life. Live your life to the fullest and don’t panic.

some video give you extra lives… some people believe that get extra lives really. They call it reincarnation. Until you find a personal belief in death, you will be afraid of it. Regardless.. I really like what Marconius has to say!
Bright blessings~

Yeah, anon…I know…it can be very frightening for sure…I think these same exact thoughts all the time…
Some friends think that I am flaky…
Others say “Deep”…
But I sometimes get so freaked out with it all…
Hmmm, after we die, I think that we go back to the place that we were before we were conceived…
I often wonder…ok there is my Mum in high school, walking down that hallway on her way to class…where was I then?
There’s Dad, just heading out, dreaming of getting to that Elvis concert..where is his little-baby-girl-to-be???
I wish that I had the answers….
But AFRAID to die….noooooo.
Because, just very recently, I lost my mum. And at the very last second of her beautiful life, she opened her eyes, and smiled such a smile…
It was apparent that she saw something….wonderful….what I do not know….
And will NOT know until it is my time…
So as I see on a plaque directly in front of me…
LIVE FOR TODAY FOR TOMORROW IS PROMISED TO NOONE..
And for me, I just know that at the end of the road there is a peace….no fear…
Hope that you find YOUR peace,ANON…
PEACE and LOVE
Mandy

If you really want to know the answers to your questions, and can be open-minded, go to mormon.org. They are all there.

Or christian.org, or muslim.org, or scientologist.org, or satanist.org, or baptist.org, or evangelical.org, or hindu.org, or atheist.org or any other religion.org. They all know, for certain exactly what happens when you die. Odd, though, their answers are all different.

Just imagine a place where all that is good and wonderful is, a place of beauty and everlasting love and unity, where there is no pain, death, sorrow or fear.
Only great goodness & splendor, search deep within yourself for what you should do.
Call out to him to take your fears away and redeem you, then by his mercy and grace you will nothing to fear but something wonderful to look forward to.

Search them all, but pray to see which one is correct, perhaps you’ll just know.

The truth is, no one knows what happens when you die, we just know what happens to your body, not your conciousness. It’s all belief, and you should determine what, if anything, you believe on your own, without letting others suggest your path for you.

You seem very young. I think death is a long ways off for you. Try to focus on other things for awhile. I used to have this total obsession, out of fear, with death. I was so afraid of it, I became obsessed with it. It’s not a good palce to be.

Hugs. Turn to happier things.

Xeno has hit the nail on the head!

Death is the great unknown. And whether we like it or not, most of us fear the unknown most of all. So.. make death a known in your own mind, and it wont be so scary.

You have nothing to fear from death - if your religious or not. We all have to face death at some point in the future. You can’t stop it by worrying that’s for sure. So let go of your worry and get on with you life. Worry and stress can assist in aging so knock it off - lol.

I know exactly what you are doing. I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago so I spoke to someone about it like you are now. And two things helped me…first Im a religious person so I just realized that for my religion I was being stupid for not following through. But the second thing that helped me was, iif there is nothing left, this is what happens to everyone. ANd I want to enjoy it all before I die just in case.

Omg..i thought i was the only one in this crappy world that cried to sleep at night thinking about death…
I do wonder…If i’ll stop existing…and all these people saying stuff like “enjoy life, forget about death”….It doesn’t really matter whether or not u enjoy life… it’s all in vain…ur going to stop existing and it’s frustrating as ****…how everything’s going to end and you’ll never be urself again…

life sucks…for real…but we’re here and there’s nothing we can do about death..i just wish i could have some answers regarding an after life..and not some religious mumbo jumbo about how we must accept jesus christ and his dad..

Think of it like a rose. Try focus on the life and beauty of the rose instead of the withering, fadedness it can come to. Ask yourself whether you are fearing death or fearing the life you lead?

Sorry if this is no help

Every time I think about death, it scares me. I get this heavy feeling in my chest and if I think about it long enough, it hurts and I can hardly breathe. It’s easy to say live NOW or anything along those lines, but none of them seem to be any comfort. I fear death because I enjoy life. I like being alive. Its fun. And the thought of that fun ending is too unbearable. I guess this is the price we all pay for having a high intellect. Animals don’t seem to contemplate about this. Religion doesn’t comfort me. And I sometimes envy those faithful to their religions. It made me think that maybe this is why religion is invented. To ease the mind when death approaches. So we won’t go crazy when the time comes. Because when it comes, what’s the difference? I once asked myself if religion is a human invention meant to alleviate the fear of death. What do you think? Typing this now, I feel a lot better. I guess it does help to think that death is a great adventure. It’s different for every individual. I’m not really much help am I?

When you are sleeping, how do you feel? You don’t know. I think that death would be the same as sleeping. Some will go peacefully and other will be in a lot of pain. But the ultimate place is probably like a sleeping mode, which is not scary because we do it every day. It sucks for people that love their lives. But remember that we are only one tiny particle on this big earth, and like every other living organization (flies, flowers, fish, cats, grass, sea weed), we can’t be here forever. I believe that the spirit is the memories that we leave with others. Our spirit will live on through friends, family, etc talking about us. Live your life to the fullest is not just to keep your mind busy to stop thinking about death, it is to get you to decide what memories you want to leave behind for others. No regrets!

IAN, are you afraid of dying or afraid of death? Dying - heart attack, fire, car accident. Death - after the drama and into the great unknown. i find myself scared of how i die, not what happens after the fact.
