does anyone no any really good acting schools on the south yorkshire area please i really want this i already chose drama at school and i’m also goin to choose to study it in college (hopefully) please help you guys i would really areciate it thanks…

I think that if your motivation into acting is to be more like friends then give it up now. Friends is or was the most popular show since Seinfeld which they so obviously ripped off. It is not the introduction into acting that makes someone successful. Its soporific to read your post: Grow the f up. If you wanna act in school good for you but it seems self evident that your motivation is to look cool like the people on that show and not from a urge to act. It has to come from your soul not just the part of your soul that wants to be famous. If you don’t already know that you are going to be the next Hepburn than ur not gonna be. Good luck but before you pursue this make sure that ur in it for the right reasons.

I would suggest watching the IT crowd, or Spaced, or other shows and set your sights higher than Friends.

no i dnt want to be in a show exactly like it, n my heart has been set on acting since i was young.
i jus want to do comedy shows n all i want help for is finding acting schools not to be in an exact show like friends. Im not asking for much and if nobody can help then fine i’ll just have to look harder.

And you who has posted as anonymous, i love acting and i don’t want to do it just to be famous, i want to do it because that is what my heart is set on.

listen if you want to find acting schools then compete in drama competitions and there will be scouts there looking for qualified people. any school we suggest you will have to audition for just so you know.

If you were in the states I know some great places for you to study comedy and meet like minded folks who are looking to get comedy shows. In fact at least one of the actresses on Friends went to one of them.

I’m not sure about the UK though.
