Life is short? What will you ever do that’s longer?

Life is short. Depending on what it is what you experience in life, you may want more money than a job at the local supermarket. If so, you can get lots of bang with a college education. Knock out 4 yrs of school, but reap the benefits over the rest of your life.

It is BECAUSE life is short, that you dont want to spend most of it just working to pay rent.

Yeah…”survival” is what a university degree is all about. Back when we were hunter/gatherers, all we had to do was find food/water/etc. to stay alive. Now, we have to get an education and get a job to stay alive. Some people find loopholes. Others end up homeless or worse.

Having said all that, I didn’t get my college degree. But it wasn’t for lack of wanting one. And I’ll be going back to school to finish as soon as I possibly can.

My loophole is that what I want to do the most is a talent of mine, and it requires no college.

Your art/comics? Because they are quite bada$$. As I said, I’d buy ‘em :)
I actually have many talents, but I’m not enough of a masochist to make money as a performer right now…I used to think acting and singing were my loopholes, but it’s a lot more difficult than I originally thought.

One does not decide what one is really here for — one discovers it.
University is one part of that discovery. Pick something you enjoy or are good at.

Life is short. Oh well. Get done with school and then you can move to the next part.

I dunno… I’m gonna be 50 before I know it… I’m starting my BA program now. It took me this long to really KNOW what it is I want to be when I grew up. I don’t regret a minute of the ohhhhhh so short life.

I agree with both Crest and Richard
Having an university degree will make life better for you.
