Trouble Falling Asleep

I am having trouble falling asleep, but I don’t want to use medication.

Any tips or advice?

Ok so first you drink a glass of water, make sure there are no distractions (i.e. turn your computer off, shut your door), lie down on your bed and close your eyes.
imagine there is a ball of light above your head and it slowly pulsates down your body. as it reaches each area of your skin imagine it loosening tension and relaxing. let it slowly caress you down to your toes and if you aren’t asleep by then try other forms of meditation.
important thing is, you have to let yourself stay there for a long time with your eyes closed and your body slack.
you may just fall asleep from boredom.
focus on relaxation and breath.
breathing deep is important.

anyway that’s what i’ve been told.
i don’t actually have sleep problems anymore so something must have worked.

you can also try to drive yourself to exhaustion with exercise or something.

It is amazing how much it can help when you get a lot of exercise… Ha, Isabellaboo just said the same thing, I just noticed. When ever I exercise, I sleep WAY better.
