a spark flew from my power supply yesterday and now my pc will not do anything. But the harddrive LED still flickers like its reading.

i removed the board and all the circuts look fine the only thing i’m worried about is the hard drive. why would it still be flickering.
I took the power supply apart and it is shot, circuts shattered and a big scorch mark on the back panel, so hopefully the jolt went out the back and only the back

If the power supply was still supplying some power the light might continue to run, however because the PS is blown it cannot supply enough power to the corect places, constently.

No, it seems to be a problem with your motherboard, hard disk get its power from the power supply. From http://fixit.in
