Help!

- I’m trying to find a suitable program to download. I have some dvd’s…there is no copyright issue or anything…ok the thing is that I just finished drama school and I borrowed all these dvd’s from the school, projects over the years. Basically I want to be able to copy them into my PC in a reliable way, convert them to a smaller size (they’re HUGE) and be able to edit them so that in the end I have a presentable video file that shows a good variety of what I’ve been doing for four years…something to have with my CV or present for auditions…anything I might need it for. SO…does anyone know of a program that can do all these things for me? It has to be pretty simple to opperate aswell. I’m not a stranger to computers so it doesn’t have to be totally “for dummies”. I’m pretty familiar with photoshop, power point, adobe acrobat and more…so I can handle software. I just want a good program and I’m willing to pay for it…just need some advice from impartial parties (the internet is so full of marketing schemes…you sort of get lost…and extremely frustrated)….please? help? I promise I will help loads of people on this site with issues I can deal with instead :)

Yes, handbrake will size it down into QuickTime movies. A full movie DVD will get about CD size without losing much quality, and QuickTime is easy to edit.
Both were Mac applications and I have used them for years, but there is a PC version of Handbrake as well now!
