Ok so there’s this girl right?

I met her at work and we didn’t really talk much at first. Things went real slow for a while and finally we got comfortable enough to talk–typical right. Anyway now we’re close enough that I feel like I can talk to her about anything. She’s gorgeous and smart and funny and pretty much plain amazing. The thing is… the entire time I’ve known her, she’s had a boyfriend… I didn’t find that out until recently. Why do you think she hasn’t EVER mentioned him? I feel kind of pathetic posting this but I just can’t figure it out. We text each other regularly and I know that we’re just friends but part of me wants to be more but I don’t want to put her in the position to choose. I’d much rather have her in my life as a friend than not in it at all…even though I can’t stop thinking about her. Basically my question is, how can I see past me wanting to be with her and continue our relationship as merely friends?

I reallly REALLY don’t want to risk her freaking out and never talking to me again. She’s been going out with this guy for over a year I think and I’m not sure how much she likes him but they do everything together from what I’ve heard.

Well, ask her if she wants to do something with you.

that is hard…its hard to just be friends with someone you like…try when you are around her think of her as just a friend…if you start thinking about liking her quickly think of something else…i hope that kind of helps

Don’t push it. That’s a very difficult situation you are in. I wouldn’t say anything, but then again I’m a chicken when it comes to that stuff.

Maybe eventually she will either mention it herself, or give you an unmissable hint.

If you’ve asked her to do something, and she hasn’t then let her find a time when she can ask you.
