Whether you just want to listen to music at work, burn some CDs for an upcoming road trip, or justify the cost of that funky MP3 player, you can master the art of digital music faster than you think. Think of this lesson as the cheat sheet that’ll get you up to speed on the digital music revolution.
Introduction You can do a lot with digital music. Copy CDs, find obscure tunes and download them from subscription services, make your own custom mixes, or even start a new digital recording studio and share your musical creations. You can learn how to do all of these things right here. We’ll start with the background information you need. This first lesson is a little heavy on the technical details, but it’s interesting reading — and it’s critical to your understanding of digital music and what you can do with it.
