9/11 rememberance redo READ ME

earlier i wrote a post stating how i felt about the short moment of silence today and how i thought we should do more. i was shocked when i saw how many people thought that it was already time to move on, i think that people should stop and take a longer time to remember it because its been so long, we need to remember what happends, and as i said i was young when it happened i especially think schools should take a period out of the day and discuss what actually happened, and how it did effect us, because we all need to remember that we got into this war because of 9/11. and at the time we were all ready to fight but now this is turning into one of the longest and unsupported wars in history. Heck i barely know what were fighting for anymore i just know were fighting, and that people are constantly being killed. is it really worth it anymore !?!?

There’s a difference between rebembering, and dwelling on it. It’s been six years, bury the dead, and move on with your lives.

While I think it is good to discuss current events in school, I think that there does come to a point we do need to get our feet out of the past. It’s enough for me to think about it.. I haven’t forgotten. But on a spirtual level honestly don’t you think that everyone who was killed in the attack is on the Other Side staring back at us and saying “Quit crying already, rejoice that we are Home!” Instead of holding ‘vigils’ and moments of silence, try finding a person near you that has suffered any tragedy and devote some time to them.. a rememberance of the American Spirit that was attacked. Or write a letter to a soldier/airman/Marine/sailor/Coastie who is stuck in this battle and is missing home. I think that would be a higher honor than meeting in a park with hundreds of other people.
