Ok…

Im not the shapest crayola in the box, But i do serve a purpose…

I have a 4 yr old Dell, with windows XP. The computer was ordered for a small business.

How do i find out if it has a power point program included?

My daughter produced a product for a brief that properly translated into the powerpoint “system”

and she used my computer to do it. (shes is unavalible for help)

SO IS there a Windows xp office program that will allow me to build a briefing and interpet it to a power point type of system?

If so how do you access it if it isnt listed on your “MY PROGRAMS” listing?

Thanks JACK

Power point is an expensive program, so unless you specifically requested it (Or Microsoft Office) it’s not going to be included. Your daughter may have installed her own copy, but unless she’s really devious it should show up in your My Programs folder…Could your daughter have been writing the presentation to put on PowerPoint later?

I know of a software that can be downloaded. It is called Open Office for Openoffice.org It has free software that is compatible with other programs like Microsoft office. it cost nothing.

I will say it again. A person can do a complete inventory on their computer to find out what they have on it.

Download an application called Belarc, it is free.

http://www.belarc.com/

After it is downloaded, execute the program. It will inventory the complete computer. It will list all of electronics and software on you computer. Then print the Belarc list and file it away. This way you will know what is on your computer when someone asks.
