Finally.
After more than a month of looking, I just found a job. It’s not the sort of job I’d brag about, or anything, but it’s a job, goddammit! I’ll be working as a busser at a restaurant called First Watch. I start next week on Thursday. Hm. Come to think of it, I don’t really know why I’m telling you this. I guess just to let you know what’s going on in my personal life, because I know just how much you care! lol
Yeah. Anyway.
Yours,
An employed Xeno Dragon.

SORRY COULDN’T RESIST PRISON vs. WORK
You spend the majority of your time in a 10X10 cell——-you spend the majority of your time in an 8X8 cubicle
You get three meals a day fully paid for——–you get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it
You get time off for good behavior——–you get more work for good behavior
The guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you——–you must often carry a security card and open all the doors for yourself
You can watch TV and play games——–you could get fired for watching TV and playing games
You get your own toilet———you have to share the toilet with some people who pee on the seat
They allow your family and friends to visit——–you aren’t even supposed to speak to your family
All expenses are paid by the taxpayers with no work required——–you get to pay all your expenses to go to work, and they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners
You spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out———-you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars
You must deal with sadistic wardens——–they are called managers
I’m a barback/busser myself - it pays pretty **** well if you’re working a popular place with high turnover. I don’t recommend hospitality as a good long-term choice; but it’s always easier to get work if you already *have* a job. Makes you more marketable, I suppose - but it seems a lot like getting a loan (having to prove you don’t really need it, etc).

Lol…
Hey… Does that mean we get to call you “Meliikixeno’oa Kuna”???
lol… Congratulations man. I’d find it hard to work in a Hawaiian shirt, it’d just make me wish I was in Hawaii all the time. hehehe
btw… Xenoliths are abundant in Hawaii. :-)

I used to be a barback. I liked it, but the place I worked at before doesn’t use them anymore, and none of the other bars were hiring.
Thats good, I think I losing Mine (cutting Hours Dramaticly)
I am glad for you. It is important to have a job. Every job is important. I hope you help to make your guests visit as good as it can be.

Woohoo! Jobs sure do suck sometimes, but it’s nice to have money! Grats :)
Cool. Congratulations and good luck spending money. Maybe the work will be better / nicer / more interesting than you figure now. It’s often the people we work with that make a job nice after all.

Congrats on the JOB! We all have to start somewhere! Just being there on time and being there as scheduled and doing a good job at whatever task you are assigned will get you a good character reference for your next job! Remember to always smile! Best wishes! :-)
