4(4+5) is 4 times 9, which is 36. And 3(10-7) is 3 times 3, which is 9, so 36 divided by 9 is 4.

Always work what’s in the “()” first = 36/9= you finish.

The correct answer is 12. When doing order of operations remember:

Please
Excuse
My
Dear
Aunt
Sally

Take the first letter from each word.
Parentheses
Exponent
Multiply
Divide
Add
Subtract

****Remember that you do the multiplication and divisions parts in order. Basically you will multiply first if it comes before the division portion of the equation and vise versa. The same goes for addition and subtraction.****

For more help go to a search engine (ask.com, google.com, etc.) and put “order of operation” in the search box.

I hope that I was of some help.

No, the answer is still 4, as stated several times before. ESPECIALLY if you work it following the order of operations.

4+5 is 9 multiply that by 4 which is 36 then do 10-7 which is 3 and multiply that by 3 and that is 9 then divide 36 by 9 which is 4
