Is birth mole likely to turn into skin cancer?

? My friend said it isn’t , but just incase I thought I’d ask… please answer!

Unlikely. But if it becomes itchy, changes consistency, changes colour, becomes inflamed or sore, or any pus comes out from it, then go to a doctor immediately.

But if a mole starts changing like Moody says it is time to get it checked my a doc, caught early you can get it sorted real easy, so keep an eye on them, and be aware of any you have in hard to see places, like your back if you’ve no-one ‘close’ enough to notice them then just look at them in the mirror every so often. It’s common sense type stuff same league as examining your own breasts once you are over 30, or your testicles if your male.

Thanks for all your advice! It’s just that I read a magazine article and took a picture of my mole to compare, seems that this birth mole does look like one of those “be aware” mole and I got a little worried…! :(

yeah, well ‘be aware’ is a long way away from ‘you have skin cancer, and even further away from ‘you will die’.
So you going to the doc or just ‘be aware’?
