Yes Robert, I see that point and I agree. But I am not easy to convince with these things. Especially not when there is a charge for the service involved.
I think is is opposing the idea of Christianity and gives me some thoughts of tables in the temple.

Been there done that - abandoned it years ago.

It’s a type of preservation of will against submission.
and is very theraputic

I have been in touch with my spiritual support group through the use of Attrition, Dom/Sub, and Shamanism.
That’s the hard way.
Wish I knew someone like you 27 years ago, when my spiritual journey began.
It would have saved me a lot of trouble and emotional pain.
And likely would have yielded more effective results.
