I never would have thought…

I’m new to this website and started out by posting my own problem which sadly got no replies for advice. But after going around and trying to see if I could relate to anybody I found out the problem that I had was pretty lame compared to some of the problems other people here had. They needed help more than I did and after putting in my words, I really started feeling better about myself. Don’t get me wrong I still have my problem but it just seems irrelevent at this time. I feel that trying to help others is more important right now rather than helping myself and it’s making me feel like a better person because of it. Any thoughts?

Often helping others, shifts your focus from that one problem that is obsessed about. Things are put into perspective, and it is a lot easier to make better decisions. So, yeah, I totally get what you are saying.

I’m not bible thumping here.. but Jesus.. a Master in my opinon… taught us, “…Give and you shall receive…” I think is it was Mark Twaine that wrote, “the best way to help yourself is to help someone else”. Both statements are true. I’m sorry no one responded to your problem buddy, because no matter how small it may seem to others… it’s not small to you. But you will find, if you give.. you will get. And let me tell you… that principle works with EVERYTHING in the Universe.
Bright blessings~
Richard

often helping others is way to help solve your problem, it makes you feel better gives you ideas and distracts for you awhile. And your right no matter what your problem is, someone always has it worse then you do and in a way that does make you feel better.

I wound up doing the same thing which has made me feel better about myself and has given me something to do with my self and those that I have responded to I hoped I have helped. Thank you by the way all of you this has turned out to be a pretty cool site. But I am sure there are some who are not happy with me cause I do tell it like it is. I am not here to impress anyone. Just help if I can.
