wow that was insensitive. lol. look for a new job while you give your two weeks. if you absolutely can’t take your situation now, and you must quit tomorrow, you’ll of course find a way to keep your life afloat.

can you keep on living working all night then going to school all day?

maybe you could find a couple of part time jobs to ease the monotony of one…
dont quit until you find another job though.

can you cut your current job down to part time and do you homework there, then find a fun job. restaurants can be fun… lot’s of tips/cash/big bucks :)

Ugh. Well I took a job like that, and I thought would be great having the time to do my studies. Grounds maintenance. Got way boring and tedious.

So I did security with Pinkerton’s, got to set my hours, pick my days. The jobs were sometimes guarding federal prisoners, mall stores, night security (boring) and hotel security.

Best balance was hotel security, because I made rounds every hour or so outside. Walked the lot, got to peak around, sense of danger, check rooms, et.c then go back to the office and study or chat with the staff for awhile.

Pay was almost double minimum wage.

SO, variety, being able to say cool things like “guarding federal prisoners”, and control of my own time. Training and uniform provided, need your own car.

Yeah, I can recommend that.

Well you say you cant spend time with your girlfriend,or freinds because of work, school, work. all I have for you is,think of it like this, while everyone else is out ther having fun,your accomplishing something with your life,and will be the one who will someday be enveid for striving so hard.and as far as the girlfriend, I don’t think she,s going to leave you,especially if thats your reall picture.And in the long run,theres not many girls out there, that want to date a guy, with no money or job,even with the good looks.I say hang in there.

Something I’ve learned recently.
Things are hardest when you’re lookin to achieve something.
You’re probably not going to find a better suited job. You should keep looking! I’m not trying to discourage you. But you have a good job that pays your bills. And obviously you have a good girlfriend who understands your busy schedule.
You should keep at your job, make your money, keep searching for a better one that will suit your schedule, pay your bills, and make you happy.
But until then you gotta drag through the muck.

I hope things get better, and I hope you can find a really good job. And kudos to your girl.

How about asking your girlfriend to work with you in the same company. So she will be by your side and both of you can see each other. Is it possible? Well it works on me.

Learn about money… learn how it works… you’re young… just the right age! Don’t wait till your 30 or 40… You can start by buying the book Rich Dad Poor Dad - even the audio book for starters is good… then make sure you take some sort of accounting or finance class.. learn about money… and use Rich Dad/Poor Dad, to help you shape your attitude toward money. Trust me… you do not have to be a millionaire, to be independently wealthy.

It looks to me that you also need to look at your priorities. Weighing your job for hanging out with your buddies/girlfrined. How long are needing to do school for? It seems like you have a pretty light school schedule. What about flipping the classes to night and work of the day. then you would have a couple of free evenings to hang out with your friends, I am assuming they work during the day of course. If you are only having to do this for a little while hang in there. There is always time for hangin with the guys later. i hate to suggest it but what about a break after this term and get your running around done and get back on track in a bit. Think about that one though cause sometimes it’s harder to go back to school once you take time off.

welcome to the real world ,when you said i would never work in a restaurant ,that means to me you just a spoiled young man you do not know the real meaning of survival what if you had to go down in to mines 2km below?you think the miners like it?what about working in the city morgue? do you think they like it? if you think you got it that hard ,quit, get another job ,or don’t work at all if this is your attitude but if you like the good things in life ,they unfortunately cost money and money does not discriminate ……

It’s just a part of life. Right now I’m working 3:30PM-2:00AM mon-fri. it eats all kinds of time up, and there are plenty of days that I just want to quit, or just want to go insane. The only thing that keeps me going is I’m working on my career. It totally sucks in the short-term, but it’s going to pay off huge in the long-term. If you make this sacrifice now, you will have the ability to make it work for you in the future.

depends on what you want out of life if playing to you is more important than the long run then go play if that is what you want but I would think that keeping your nose in the books and getting your degree and making something of future would be more important employers look at students who go to school and work at the same time in shows skill and management potential so what you do from here is totally up to you and which is more important you know what is and I do not have to tell you your life is in your hands its your decision

you are now going through the neck of the bottle , it is always the narowwest part of the bottle but you have to get through it to reach the sweet wine in the bottle .
What I’m trying to say that this part of your life is tough but you have to hold on to build your life on hard bases .
I hate my job too i work 6 days a week & my working houres start from 9am till 7pm & sometimes more but i’m holding on because tomorrow will be much better than today & i’m using my current job as a sourse of money to save them and reach my dreams because grand don’t come for nothing.
Your girlfriend & you friends should understand how busy you are & support you .
I support you & I definitely apperciate you & you should be proud at yourself .
Always remember that life will be so much easier in the future & the gains of the future deserves the pains of today .
