I have a Chemistry Pre-Lab due tomorrow and I need help!
The lab is on the effect of concentration and temperature on the iodine clock reaction. I was given that in Test tube A: 4.0mL of IO3, (0.0200mol/L concentration) was mixed with 6.0mL of water for a final solution of 10.0mL. So I am supposed to find the concentraton of the solution after the IO3 has been diluted with the water. I was given the answer of 4.0 x 10^-3 mol/L was the concentration but what formula is that? From the information i was given it looks like only the 4.0mL x 6.0mL divided by the concentration will give me that answer but thats not the normal dilution formula is it? Ahh someone anyone HELPP
