Reply from hotdog321 /post/129690-my-computer-keeps-showing-trojan-ho#reply-3415906 All the advise you’ve been given is great however, the virus will still be there. Back up all important files and then run scan disk followed by disk defrag, followed by any other maintenance program you have. Once you do this, use your recovery to bring your computer to where it was and then, use your back-up system to bring the system where it was. As far as I know (a former computer systems analyst), this will Guarentee you’ll be rid of the trojen horse

Reply from thep /post/129690-my-computer-keeps-showing-trojan-ho#reply-3415600 Do this first. Download http://www.comodo.com/products/free_p… The free firewall that is.
Install it and run it. It should find out and tell you what actions you should take.

It take quite some time to complete this.

Then come back and let me know if it has worked for you or not.

Reply from hotdog321 /post/129690-my-computer-keeps-showing-trojan-ho#reply-3415557 My advice is to clean everything off your computer then run every maintenance program you have. OPnce that’s done, use your recoery system to rebuild your system. It’s quite a bit of work but, it’s the best way to get rid of any and all viruses.

Reply from thep /post/129690-my-computer-keeps-showing-trojan-ho#reply-3415337 If none of that helps, you will have to take the most drastic step you can. That is to clear everything of your computer and set it back to it’s factory settings. That is how it was the first day you bought it.

This website is riddled with spam, spyware and other advertising bugs. This website purposely puts this stuff on to your computer. Read this in the (Terms Of use) down at the very bottom of this page. Thats this link http://www.cnetnetworks.com/editorial…

Then you need to read this. http://www.cnetnetworks.com/editorial…
It actualy tells you that this website puts web bugs on your computer, gives your information to other websites that put bugs on your computer and track your website activity.

By using this website you have allowed them to do this.

Reply from neku /post/129690-my-computer-keeps-showing-trojan-ho#reply-3415106 Use some other software. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info

Reply from Papa Bear /post/129690-my-computer-keeps-showing-trojan-ho#reply-3415057 You can get a bunch of free anti virus and anti spyware stuff from CNet downloads. It’s all free!!
I would suggest;
Spybot Search and Destroy
Spyware Blaster
Avg Anti spyware
Avg 7.5
Windows Deffender

You must update your stuff every week to keep up with all the new threats.

You should set up a firewall as well,
Zone Alarm is very good

http://www.cnet.com/

Register for downloads, it’s free.
I’ve used this site with no problems and good results.
:)
