Brutus and Caesar were very close and some believe that Brutus was actually Caesars son. Brutus’s mother had a long affair with Caesar and the ties were close. Thus Brutus’s involvement would have shocked Caesar.

This is my teacher’s fourth year teaching Latin so no use asking him about other text books since this is the one he used the entire time…although he did take a lot of Latin in college, but still not the point. :)
