Pain Management: Complex Regional Pain Syndrome

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), also called reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) syndrome, is a chronic pain condition in which high levels of nerve impulses are sent to an affected site. Experts believe that CRPS occurs as a result of dysfunction in the central or peripheral nervous systems.

CRPS is most common in people aged 20-35. The syndrome also can occur in children; it affects women more often than men.

There is no cure for CRPS.

Reply from Richard cor de lyon /post/154983-two-three-years-ago-i-started-to-ge#reply-3672769 Did you mean RSD? RSD is a nerve disorder and not even the doctors can tell you what caused it, nor can they cure it. Having a bad thyroid is also a serious matter. A goiter is a swollen thyroid, and when that happens the thyroid is usually removed, leaving the patient to take hormones for the rest of their lives. Have you found yourself gaining weight?

Here’s the deal… do what Itsmag said… go see the doctor if you’ve not already. The hormones to the thyroid are controlled by the pituitary gland in the brain. If the thyroid is not working, and it causes the pituitary gland to over-work and become damaged you will be in VERY BIG trouble, because the pituitary gland is the control center for other glands in your lymphatic system… Your lymphatic system is how your body fights off disease and illness… loose it and you can imagine your life.
