Probably you should do whatever Lilies suggested and everything will work out fine :) (or leave this post open and try to get some more responses.)

Well… the reason I asked is because he is the one doing weird things that deprive him of your friendship. It sounds unnatural, like a little beyond normal teasing or actual not remembering.

I thought selective memory is what is caused by trauma or brain damage.. Or maybe there are two meanings for this phrase, like when politicians have “selected memory” about whether they ever used drugs or not?

Reply from ~lilies~ /post/157835-help-advice#reply-3704528 :) Okay then yes i totally get that, so when you see him let him know that you do know him and tell him stuff that makes him remember you. But also, make friends with other people. I hope you are not limiting yourself getting to know one person.

Reply from Michael Leibman /post/157835-help-advice#reply-3704521 People have selective memories. You can tell him some of the good memories you had around him, and he’ll appreciate it and also remember you better again.

Reply from ~lilies~ /post/157835-help-advice#reply-3704516 Can you make friends with new ones instead?

I mean some people change, he might really remember but for some odd reasons he does not try to admit it.

So lessen worrying about this person and make some new set of people to be with.
