[Help] I have a question on renting for the first time. Updates to this post /post/158885-i-have-a-question-on-renting-for-th Thu, 21 Aug 2008 13:55:52 +0100 Reply from MSLSDONALDSO /post/158885-i-have-a-question-on-renting-for-th#reply-3737650 Yes most landlords do look for proof of some kind of income. they will ask for your previous address and would like to speak with the landlord or property manager to verify rental history( if property was left in good condition, if you paid rent on time, and if there is a balance) and all they want to know really with your job is the length of time there, where, how much (to see if you can afford it).

Reply from anothernikki /post/158885-i-have-a-question-on-renting-for-th#reply-3716262 If you’ve never rented before they’re going to need other references from you. Like your boss or previous co-workers, etc. They typically don’t ask for proof of income unless it’s subsidized housing. But a lot of landlords to ask for proof of employment.
