Updates to this post /post/159383-recently-ive-been-having-thi Wed, 27 Aug 2008 18:26:56 +0100 Reply from redangel.200 /post/159383-recently-ive-been-having-thi#reply-3723378 I had pain in my ribs, that i could feel when i breathed and it turned out i pulled a muscle in my chest playing squash. If you have been doing any kind of intense sport or exercise the same might apply to you. Painkillers got rid of it for me.

Reply from Florie /post/159383-recently-ive-been-having-thi#reply-3721942 Know what a sternum is? I had a pain there every time I breathed deeply, and a friend who was very knowledgeable about homeopathy told me to take homeopathic “Ruta.” It went away after about 3 doses. This was at least 10 years ago. It happened again last week, and I took Ruta again and … it went away!!!!!!!! If you have a store handy that has homeopathic remedies, and it’s your sternum, you might try it.

Reply from mercykar /post/159383-recently-ive-been-having-thi#reply-3721876 maybe a breathing problem?
I think just going to the doctors would be the best thing to do

Reply from sansceriph /post/159383-recently-ive-been-having-thi#reply-3721739 I’ve had the same symptoms before. It hurt so much I thought it was a heart attack, but it was called pleurisy..

pleurisy, inflammation of the pleura (the membrane that covers the lungs and lines the chest cavity). It is sometimes accompanied by pain and coughing.

The doctor recommended ibuprophen (Moltrin), the same thing you would take for a headache. And it went away.
