Updates to this post /post/165953-so-i-imported-some-new-music Tue, 08 Dec 2009 03:20:28 +0100 Reply from bnsena /post/165953-so-i-imported-some-new-music#reply-3803762 then about the missing music if they show on the computer and not the ipod and the ipod registures on the computer then you can try and going to the ipod in my comuter and opening that then showing hidden folders and in ipod controls go to music and right click properties and then at the bottom hit hidden and make sure there is no check and then it will ask if you want to apply to sub folders and files do whatever it says to make is a yes

Reply from bnsena /post/165953-so-i-imported-some-new-music#reply-3803758 ok first
even tho you are running the ipod in the windows version the ipod is still apple and does not get viruses

next the ipod not regsturing on the computer is not the ipod fault it is the computers fault i think you should update itunes and then when you do that plug in your ipod if it does not show then look it “my computer” if it shows there then we have some options if not then you have to reset your ipod and for that you will have to go to the diagnostics menu
and to do that you have to press and hold the menu and the ok or center button and hold till the ipod shuts off

then right as soon as it is off then press and hold the right and center button until you get a screen with a whole bunch of words

if you have a newer ipod then it will look like this

NTF
Memory
IO
Power
Accessories Test
SysCfg
Reset

then hit reset and you will be new again (hopefully)

then once you are done with that turn on the ipod and connect it to the computer and see if it shows then

Reply from pink33 /post/165953-so-i-imported-some-new-music#reply-3796577 If you are talking about the main screen it won’t let me get onto that since my ipod isn’t working. And if it does I don’t know how to get there. The only things I can go into are “file, edit, controls, view, store, help” I know i prolly seem like a pain but I really appreciate any help. Thanks.
