Make sure that there is good air flow through the processor fan and if there is dust use a can of compresses air and blow out the fan and colling coil. Hope this helps :-)

and and if you dont have an Antivirus program you can use

and for your firewall a good program is
Zone Alarm: http://www.download.com/ZoneAlarm-Fir…
Install these programs and run them regulary. This will keep your system clean and running properly. These programs are free and Download.com is a part of CNET (the site that your posting on right now). Hope this helps :-)

If that doesn’t work, reboot in safe mode, and see if you can access things that way. If so, then you have a problem loading up. When you turn off your computer, restart it holding down the F8 key and tell it to restart in safe mode. It will look strange, but try to access web pages and see what happens. You can find all sorts of info at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com also. Try rebooting regular first, then safe mode, then post what happens.
