(I also don’t use email much, but maybe someday.)

Reply from k4kieron /post/175850-helpful-quote#reply-4695863 Micheal that is aww inspiring - you started it, put it in actin - start a chain email - ask others to add to it. Mastering the art of help is reminding yourself of the good that has come before, is in action now and what becomes are the endless possibilities of human exploration.

Some of my own that I would like you to add if you start it as a chain email.

Tomorrow is what you make it - make it ours, not yours.

A grain of sand can change the world.

Without your mother you would have no brother, sister or spouse.

A Helping hand leaves a footprint in the sand.

We are all neighbours and our children share the same playground.

Try and get this going on here. Edit it - Ask people to add helpful quotes themself.

thanks for the email - I read them all and I will continue to revisit this - added to my fave list.

Thanks, good point. This is a post from 5 months ago, and I hadn’t considered re-reading it till just now (especially with all the comments from people I trust about how incredibly long it is.) But it did seem worth reading just now.

Reply from Moth /post/175850-helpful-quote#reply-4588967 sorry it’s : “I don’t Fear anything, I don’t hope for anything…I am free”

Reply from Moth /post/175850-helpful-quote#reply-4588965 a quote similar to that is ” I Don’t hope for anything, I don’t excpect anything…I am Free”
I liked this because it added some contrast and depth:

“The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.”

It is supposedly by Buddha.
Reply from Michael Leibman /post/175850-helpful-quote#reply-4584638 The copy/pasting/deleting took maybe an hour or two (there were actually many more quotes; a huge amount of redundancy and potentially offensive -isms and -ologies and religions)

…and this was the only post I made quite like this, but one other time I quoted part of the FAQ on this site with similar intent to draw helpful knowledge about ‘help’ or ‘help.com’ out into public — it’s sometimes difficult to find ways out of the mazes of problems and solutions, this type of thing is just, “here’s part of the point, the basics.”
