[Help] I'm sixteen years old, and I think that I may have GAD (generalized anxiety disorder). Updates to this post /post/178130-im-sixteen-years-old-and-i Sun, 29 Nov 2009 08:30:56 +0100 Reply from Anonymous /post/178130-im-sixteen-years-old-and-i#reply-3950923 I have a fear of spiders, being alone, and “peeping toms”… I haven’t lost anyone. My triggers are like worrying about things like people calling to get me in trouble which would never happen, fear of people hurting my family (aka their safety wherever they go), school work, judgment even if im not being judged, things like that. i hate the idea of someone calling to get me in trouble…even if i shouldnt have anything to worry about. I move things to keep them hidden and i fear im being watched constantly.

Did you lose anybody or anything important in your life? How can I help you? Tell us more of your anxiety, what triggers it?

Reply from Alexaxas /post/178130-im-sixteen-years-old-and-i#reply-3950396 Self-diagnoses are less than useless. If you’re mother has OCD, she ought to be receptive to your seeking treatment. Go see whoever diagnosed/treated her.

Try excercising, it might relieve your anxiety.
