Even if your not too fond of God right now, I am praying for you. I spent a long time feeling like God was just making my life difficult and painful and that I would just be better off without believing in Him. Luckily, He didn’t feel the same way about me. Everyone finds the healing they need at different times. I spent my whole life just searching for healing, including almost 12 years in mental hospitals, finally, God had me at the right time and place, and He chose to bring healing into my life.

I really do hope we can work together to show people how much better life is with God.

Hey broussardhh, nice to meet you. Honestly, when it came down to it, the only thing I really needed to do was surrender to God. I went through every kind of treatment possible, every kind of medication, and every diagnoses they could come up with, but nothing helped. God took me step by step on a journey of healing and brought me to a place where I was desperate enough to give up the pain I carried around with me and had become dependent on. Some people from my church asked me to get together with them and pray with them, and we went through a 12 hour journey of seeking God, discovering ways I had allowed myself to dwell in illness, and repenting. At the end of it all, God gave me freedom and showed me that He has a much better plan for my life then I could have ever imagined.

thep, thank you so much. I really appreciate your encouragement. You are right, now I know truth, and I am going to live that truth out so that God can use me to help others.

It is a time filled with passion and excitement. When people get older, they are often too set in their ways to make big changes that God may call them to. As a young person, you have the chance to follow whatever passion God puts in your heart. You make me think of Timothy in the Bible. Paul was constantly telling him not to let people think less of him because he was young and not to feel insignificant because of his age. That is great that you are trying to figure things out and find out exactly what your calling is. Keep seeking after it and God will show you step by step.

I am finishing up some psychology classes and beginning to volunteer with a youth ministry. I hope to tell others about the things I have gone through and how God saved me when all hope was gone. I want to encourage the hopeless and let them see that there is always hope and that no one is too far gone. Even after all of the pain I have experienced in my life, and all of the mistakes I made, I have found joy and hope. If I can, so can anyone else.
