[Help] Anyone know anything about down comforters?

They’re extremely warm, or can be, I have a 3 season one, which is still WAY warm in the summer. :(

A duvet makes a huge difference. Overstock.com Is where I bought my 1st 2nd 3rd down comforter. You can get one relatively inexpensively. I always get a king, but that means a VERY expensive duvet. Thing is I like snuggling with mine. I have a queen sized bed, and I share it, so sometimes when it’s really cold I tend to wrap myself up.

We’ve found in the summer, that having a sheet and intermediate heavy cotton spread keeps you warm but comfortable—I think it’s because of the layers.

My sister had a ralph lauren down comforter!! it was absoloutely fantastic!

Also, down comforters also come in a generic white casing, much like a pillow. You might consider also buying a duvet cover (like a pillow case) that can go over the comforter and still be removed for washing. Otherwise, you’ll likely end up taking it to a laundry mat, as one generally does not launder down in washing machines.

Down is fairly warm but it’s also rather comfortable. Like covering yourself with a giant pillow. My suggestion would be to Google the exact same comforter (or check a site like Amazon) and see what they are retailing for before you bid. Often, new items can be purchased for less money than auction items if you know where to look.

Down comforters are so comfy and wonderful, sometimes they poke you, but it is all worth it

i live in thailand, have for a decade, havn’t had one for a decade, that was one or the better parts of living in -20 below.

see if you can find a local dealership that has one, then go hug it

Oh that sucks, theyre very comfortable (at least the thin one I have now is) If you dont mind, why cant you have one?

sounds fine, here is the easy question though.

feel it, give it a hug, if it feels nice then buy it.

i always liked down comforters, though i cant use one where i live now
