It’s remarkable how it actually works when you take into account that there are ONLY two sound sources: the left and right speaker/headphone.

I found some at a site which sells microphones for making these types of recordings.

But its not “holophonic” it’s binaural, which means its not distributed and interpreted across your brain in the same way as the cetera algorythm.

I can’t find anything else as explicitly perceptual as the virtual barbershop…

I hate those sort of videos. The ones that start off really quiet and then there is a sudden scream accompanied by some weird image. My brother’s friend showed me one once and it scared the crap out of me.
