Reply from shaboobooism /post/213089-adobe-flash-anyone#reply-4434365 Found a good website on some Flash & also other Adobe tutorials. http://www.entheosweb.com/Flash/shape…
Gonna try to do a simple Motion/Shape tween using timeline, then later I’ll try using some of my imaginary characters. Not sure how it will turn out but nothing to it but to do it. Thanks again for the advice!

Reply from dragonheart /post/213089-adobe-flash-anyone#reply-4431918 My teacher always gives assignments from that book and they are very easy to follow, and I actually learn something from then *surprise* I think this book might really help you. I’m glad I could help.

Reply from shaboobooism /post/213089-adobe-flash-anyone#reply-4431815 Thanks dragonheart! I own Adobe CS3 Premier edition “student discount”, so that book (Adobe Flash CS3) might be worth a shot. We are not using a book for my Web-design class and it is very difficult keeping up with so many handouts. From that class I can tell a book might be needed to be self-taught in Adobe Flash and again, any advice is welcomed and appreciated.

Reply from dragonheart /post/213089-adobe-flash-anyone#reply-4431617 The book I use for my class (i am studing graphic design) in flash is the Adobe Flash CS3 level 1. Its a pretty good book, has lots of tutorials and step by step instructions. I dont know what flash you have but this book is pretty helpful. If you dont want to buy the book, you should be able to go to your school’s library and find it there, or at another library. If not there, you usually can get it really cheap online now. Flash is a pretty good program to learn.

Reply from hey...iknowyou /post/213089-adobe-flash-anyone#reply-4429982 It’s not hugely difficult to learn, depending what level you want to be at. Since you’ve got a decent background with other programs, any sort of text beginners should be able to teach you quite a bit. Try looking for a few in your college library to save you buying it, and then if you find a book you do like and want to get, you know you won’t be wasting your money.

Reply from shaboobooism /post/213089-adobe-flash-anyone#reply-4429970 Thanks, and I too am in college. At the moment I am taking Dreamweaver. Although Flash is NOT even taught and yet it is still a must to learn, so I’ll be teaching myself but I just was hoping to acquire some good text on the matter, in case a quick reference is needed. Although any/all advice is welcomed and appreciated! I'’ll check with YouTube.

Reply from hey...iknowyou /post/213089-adobe-flash-anyone#reply-4429865 I don’t know a huge amount, but I know a bit. I learned what I know in college, not through a book so I can’t recommend anything specific unfortunately. I often find YouTube has some cool tutorial videos though if you want that. Also if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask me, I might not be able to answer it but I’ll do my best!
