When people want to argue religion I’m sometimes irritated because it’s the same argument over and over. Here’s a reply I gave awhile back.

Often people’s adherence to God is founded on fear, but not always. Has God reached down with a hand and intervened in anyone’s life on this post? Tolerance to me would mean a respect for others, a lack of judgment and the ability to look at one’s self honestly in order to understand another better. I believe in the thought that we should attempt to take a walk in anothers shoes. It’s an appreciation of the diversity which makes this world such a wonderful and colorful place to be.

I’ve written on this topic before and don’t know whether I have posted this before or not but I believe it applies;

I tend to liken the human race to snowflakes. You will never find two snowflakes that are identical, each has it’s own unique qualities that set it apart from the rest. But they are all snowflakes, they are all born pure and perfect in their own right. The environment may change the dynamic of the snowflake once it falls, hence conditioning or the “nature vs nurture” debate. But what a pretty picture those individual flakes make together, a blanket that covers the earth, the trees. Beautiful not only in their diversity and individuality but also as a part of a bigger picture ~together~.
