Yeah definitely agree with the solution above. A very simple way to ensure your not left disappointed is…whatever you write. Put your cursor all over it and copy it by pressing CTRL + C

Then should the same happen again you can just do a new post and press CTRL + V to paste it in.

Well someone already suggested it i think, but i’ve found that writing and editting posts, replys, ect. is better to do in Word or any other word processor works best along with saving the document a lot in the process. it’s saved me a lot of work quite a few times, that way if something, or your “little man”, is acting wonky, your not as put out.

I find at peak times, around 7:00 and beyond that my long messages take a long time to post. It’s seems that the browser is awaiting it’s turn or something like that. I have my messages dissapear but if I wait a minute or two they are finally posted. I have only lost 2 messages though.

Another trick is when you are going to be posting a lengthy reply, create it in Word or whatever WP you use, and then copy and paste into the box. This allows you to save a copy and also gives you a back-up if the original attempt to post doesn’t work.

Do you by chance work on a laptop? My touchpad mouse goes really wonky sometimes and seems to act on its own accord, jumping the cursor to other areas, etc. This might be part of your issue if you work on a lappy.

The same thing happens to me; it’s totally aggravating. I’ve just learned not to go to preview. I just edit the best I can while composing, and then go directly to send. Sorry I can’t be more helpful; I’m not very techno-savvy.

No, not that. I most likely am hitting SOMETHING wrong, but I’m not highlighting and deleting. Been using word programs for 25 years now!

My Dad often on accident deletes his entire message in emails without knowing it. If he goes to capitalize the letter A he sometimes hits Ctrl-A instead of Shift-A and it highlights his entire message…when he continues typing without noticing what he’s done, he types over what is highlighted and erases his entire message.

Maybe that’s it…
