[Help] I have GAD, what can I do? Updates to this post /post/218293-i-have-gad-what-can-i-do Thu, 26 Nov 2009 20:55:34 +0100 Reply from Anonymous /post/218293-i-have-gad-what-can-i-do#reply-4497617 I used to… I love writing and drawing, but I have so much work lately that I can’t do anything. If I’m not working, I’m procrastinating, and that just hightens my anxiety.

Reply from Whatsername17 /post/218293-i-have-gad-what-can-i-do#reply-4497517 I agree with Angel, that’s what I’m doing. I refuse to become reliant on medication. I’ve tried some health food supplements like Kalms, but I keep forgetting to take them, lol. Writing is my outlet.

Reply from Anonymous /post/218293-i-have-gad-what-can-i-do#reply-4497514 That’d probably be a good idea. I used to write in my journal a lot, but for some reason I stopped. Now I feel like I’m being smothered! I feel so exhausted from not being able to sleep, and my constant nervousness is making me sick.

Reply from angel♥ /post/218293-i-have-gad-what-can-i-do#reply-4497506 i have severe GAD :( it sucks…
but if you dont wanna go see a doctor id suggest writing your thoughts down. sometimes with GAD its hard to pinpoint what exatcly is bothering you at the time. soometimes its just a mix of everything but you cant pick out what. writing stuff down helps give your mind a break.
keep a journal beside your bed and every night, write down whatever your thinking even if it seems pointless. even write down random words that are in your head or colours or songs… anything. just try and get as much as you can out.
