Im not judging I came from the same and tended to do the same. What Im saying is you all just need better communication skills.Maybe try hodu.com

Reply from Genesis721 /post/219766-my-mother-is-the-biggest-self-servi#reply-4513419 I am just mentioning your Mom and I think your Dad is doing fine work. The fact is your anger is at your Mother right now. I think you and her need to talk and see if you can bridge your relationship. Tell her how she makes you feel. Wait for a time when perhaps she is getting ready to go to work and seems calm. Perhaps then she will have time to talk to you.

Reply from ~Shie~ /post/219766-my-mother-is-the-biggest-self-servi#reply-4513398 do you think that maybe mom is stressed out with her job and such.. i mean, still no excuse.. but sometimes when you are stressed out, it does a lot to not only your emotions but to your character and memory..

my suggestion is to catch her on a good day.. and let her know.. listen.. i feel that you are taking your anger out on me and it really bothers me… because sometimes, we dont see how we are treating others when we are so over whelmed..

Reply from BaconByAnyOtherName /post/219766-my-mother-is-the-biggest-self-servi#reply-4513385 yes, the fact that she has flexible hours and can cancel on a client whenever, and my dad has to get up at 4:30 each morning to go and do 12 hours of manual labor means nothing i guess.

Reply from Genesis721 /post/219766-my-mother-is-the-biggest-self-servi#reply-4513364 It seems to me that to call your mother and let her know that you have ordered a pizza for her to pick up is a rather small request. She is the going to work to see a client right? You and your father get to stay at home and not be burdened with anything.

Your Mom sounds like she is under a lot of pressure. Maybe if you would talk to her and show her some concern she would be different.

My mother had my sister and I to support all by her herself. Yes, she came home sometimes and if everything wasn’t done to her specifications she would have a hissy fit. I thought she was mean until I grew up and had 4 children to support. Now I get it and I found out that she was trying to do her best with what she knew how to do.

I sense you are lonesome and feeling neglected. I think you would like to be closer to your Mom but, don’t know what will make her happy. When you tried before to make her happy it didn’t work. All I have to say is keep trying. She will eventually come around when some of the pressure is off her back.

Good Luck.

Reply from ~Shie~ /post/219766-my-mother-is-the-biggest-self-servi#reply-4513363 oh no bacon… so sorry to hear that you have to deal with this…
its normal for parents to be upset with their jobs and such… but its not right to take their anger out on their children… ever!
if your mother can not handle the things that she is doing such as she did tonight.. then maybe she needs to take a look at her life and make some changes…

hugs..

Reply from Cell /post/219766-my-mother-is-the-biggest-self-servi#reply-4513345 Oh well. At least you’ll get pizza?

Some parents are a lesson in how not to act.
