It will take some time, but it finds viruses, spyware, malware etc and gives you the chance to get rid of them.

Thanks…but I’m not sure it’s just firefox that’s the problem. I’m getting IE pop-ups as well, and I think it was something I did on IE that caused the problem. But it can’t hurt to try.
