I understand your first two points but I don’t think I understand your third point. If you mean religion then I agree. Religion has been the cause of untold death and destruction. It has ruined lives and destroyed families.
Does the good done by religion outway this cost? Who can say?

I think that any religion that wants you to blindly believe something just because your ancestors believed it is preaching pure and utter ignorance. People have to find their own path and their own understanding for the world we live in. The world changes.
People may need guidance now and then but that should be in the form of informed debate not preaching something as the “absolute truth”.

Greed is a part of all human beings. It’s a survival trait that helps us look out for ourselves but in this society it also means that we sometimes neglect others. In an enlightened society where no one need want for anything and there is perfect fairness greed would not be needed. We don’t live in such a world.

Prejudice is an engrained part of the human psyche to allow a person to simplify the world and to put people into groups (i.e. good,bad,selfish,stupid,etc.). Again, this has helped humanity in our evolution by allowing us to see patterns and to predict what someone will be like. But, once again, in our society this can be a negative trait as it can prevent us from treating people fairly. This often leads to my third point.

Hate is one of the most powerful emotions. It can prevent us from seeing reason and make us do things we wouldn’t normally do (and sometimes regret afterwards). However it also serves a purpose. It is a powerful force for someone to change something which they see as being unjust. Hate can make you stand up for what you believe in and take action. As with all things it has positive and negative aspects.
