Reply from mrzigg /post/221643-a-study-showed-that-the-average-rig#reply-4535779 This study is an interesting read:
http://tinyurl.com/58dtx4

It talks about how left handed people thrive in violent societies. I’m a leftie myself but I only seem to be left handed for writing. Most other things (fishing, playing guitar, shooting a rifle), I do right-handed.
I’m not very accident prone either. I worked on a building site for a few Summers and I’m still here!

Reply from hey...iknowyou /post/221643-a-study-showed-that-the-average-rig#reply-4535582 I still can’t imagine there being a 9 year difference between people based on which hand they use more frequently. How many deaths are caused by hand operated machinery? Quite a few I’d imagine, but nowhere near enough to change a figure like that by 9 years.

Reply from ¡ʎuɐɟɟıʇ /post/221643-a-study-showed-that-the-average-rig#reply-4535469 I’ve heard this before as well.
It’s because of what Adam said. They have a higher risk basically because tools and machinery are hard to operate.

Reply from InsertFishHere /post/221643-a-study-showed-that-the-average-rig#reply-4535350 it could just be chance or that in certain parts of the word there is machinery and tools what are hard to operate with the left hand so there is a lack of jobs for them or they injure themselves often.

I personlly think that this is complete bulls**t but as i said it could just be chance…

Reply from hey...iknowyou /post/221643-a-study-showed-that-the-average-rig#reply-4535305 Which study showed this? I’d find that very difficult to believe.
