[Help] I dont like my current college. Updates to this post /post/222026-i-dont-like-my-current-college Thu, 26 Nov 2009 21:08:35 +0100 Reply from Tyranid Tamer /post/222026-i-dont-like-my-current-college#reply-4540691 I applaud you for being in college! You have no idea how hard it is to go back if you take a break to work. For any length.
When I hit my “I don’t know what to do” phase I went to my college’s career counsellor and they gave me a couple tests that looked at my interests and then made suggestions based on those for careers, I ended up going into a field I’d never heard of, and now I just love it. Try that out.
If nothing else, any degree is better than nothing.

Take different classes and find out what you like and don’t like; what you are good at and what you are not so good at. It is good to have a job while in college to grow in experience, just do not let it take up all of your time. The most important thing is learning how to manage the time you have. If you need to study more, you need to get rid of some of the work/relax time. There are always technical colleges if you do not like anything where you go now. Where do you go by the way?
