Are you talking about built-in speakers? If so there’s only a limited number of causes. Try going to www.hp.com and seeing if they have updated audio drivers for it.

If none of that works it’s possible it could be a problem with the internal wiring or the speakers are just blown out. If so you will have to send it in to get fixed (hopefully you’re still under warranty) otherwise you will have to use headphones/external speakers.

I don’t know what else it could be on a laptop.
