I dont see how it relates to macbeth.the only possable relation is a religous aspect as daffodils only appear a few days during “the death of christ”. maybe something to do with the anti-christ that witches believe in?

I think it means something like a huge monument…to be specific…one of the wonders of the world. How over time it “decays” and over time…it is lost in time forever.
