Maybe’ll I walk around saying, “May the God of truth bless me.” I wonder if it works? I’d like to have a true sense of things.

I’m not sure what to make of the ‘religious’ aspect of this post as that bible-quote seems to present a different message from every other translation out there:

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“Because he who is blessed in the earth Will be blessed by the God of truth; And he who swears in the earth Will swear by the God of truth; Because the former troubles are forgotten, And because they are hidden from My sight!

GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995)

Women, for the most part, are more pragmatic in their approach, having the responsibility to bring life and to care for life. This pragmatism could go a long way to neutralize some of the hate, and to move the region in the direction of economic productivity, and eventually peace.

If you want to preach there many other sites out there that you can post on. As for your lines 1 & 2 its called self confidence and no god gave me that. I am who I am because I made my life the way I want it. When I die I will become part of the universe, everything and everyone imaginable even unimagined as of yet. I have no need of you man made god or the words that was supposedly said. Hope this helps :-)

Reply from *Dougie* /post/223082-what-are-you-talking-about#reply-4552700 Now imagine you are kind to your loved one.
It puts your loved one in a very good mood.
Maybe your loved one would have been in a bad mood that day if you hadn’t.

So your loved is now in a better mood, goes out into the world, happy and smiling because he/she received love from you.

Your loved one is in the supermarket, in a good mood…
Someone shorter cannot reach something on a high shelf.
Your loved one, possibly would have not noticed this stranger in need, because they were otherwise occupied with feeling unhappy.

But they are in a good mood, so they help the stranger.
They stranger is not used to people being kind to her.
This puts the stranger in a good mood.

Later that day the stranger is in a good enough to go out to nightclub.
She was in an average mood that day, and wasn’t feeling like going out.
But now she finds she is smiling, and singing little tunes to herself.

She goes out to the nightclub.
A band is playing. A careless man bumps into another man and spills his drink.
The careless man is also rude, and does not apologise or offer to replace the drink.

The other man is a little upset now, because he didn’t have much money and that was his last drink, and he cannot afford another.

The stranger sees this and thinks it unjust and a shame.
She has some money spare and she buys the man a new drink.
They start a conversation, and enjoy listening to the music of the Big Band era.

After a while there conversation leads to what they both do for work.
The stranger doesn’t like her job much. It turns out the man she has just met’s brother runs a business that she has always been interested in working in.

They exchange phoone numbers.
A couple of days later the stranger receives a call, and is asked to come in for a job interview.
She gets the job.

The stranger’s new boss is very impressed with her.
A few wekks later, he is happy because the stranger has some innovative ideas on how to improve the way the business works, and all the employees are able to get a slight raise in their paycheck.

The stranger buys a toy ukelele and puts it under the Christmas Tree at the local department store.
A girl she has never met is happy because she gets a ukelele for Christmas.

Many years later the little girl is grown up and becomes a talented singer song writer. She writes a song that is very popular, and makes a lot of money from it.
She starts a music school for underprivileged children.

The world is a better place in ways you can’t imagine because you were kind to the one you love. :)

Reply from *Dougie* /post/223082-what-are-you-talking-about#reply-4552648 Some very nice sentiments there.
Its a shame that many people spend their time finding faults with others, or criticising what they don’t understand or believe themselves.

And yet, so few people are willing to look at their own weaknessess and make them strengths. So many people blame their lives on others.
